Westbrook is fortunate enough to have two rivers and two waterfalls. The Presumpscot River flows through the center of the city, and the smaller Stroudwater River flows through the southwestern part of the city. Saccarappa Falls and Congin Falls were at one time the power source for the several factories and mills that were part of Westbrook's historical past.
