US Route 1 - Madawaska to Fort Kent, Maine

The 19 miles of Maine’s US Route 1 from Madawaska to Fort Kent, continues through the St. John River Valley. The land is fertile and lined with mostly potato crops. Frenchville is the one town between Madawaska and Fort Kent. We could find one store and two places to dine. No lodging could be found along this route.
