Eastport, Maine the easternmost city in the United States, actually consists entirely of islands. The largest island is Moose Island, connected to the mainland by a causeway. Story has it that the first sardine cannery in the United States was in Eastport. Today a large part of Eastport's economy is from the sea, although tourism is a growing industry.
