Welcome to a Maine Winter!
Nights are cold. Days without sunshine are cool. On December 26 the pond finally awoke with a layer of ice. I guess kayaking season is over.
VACATIONLAND
is imprinted on Maine license plates. Our goal is to provide
information, help plan your vacation and enjoy your Maine experience.
We hope to have one of the most comprehensive listings of activities,
museums, beaches, forts, historical sites, lodging, restaurants, scenic
byways and any other forms of recreation that Maine has to offer.
Through the
links, we will guide you along the famous US Route 1. We will offer you
places to eat, sleep and play. Show you where to find great shopping,
amusements and historical landmarks.
Eventually, we
will also venture off onto other major routes of the state and suggest
side trips that will be well worth the time traveled.
